A hike that cools you down as you go. Next time you're at the Piedra River Trailhead, take the path heading upward—you’ll pass natural ice fissures blowing freezing air right off the trail!

This moderately difficult climb offers impressive lake views at the top for those willing to take on the elevation gain. Plan to spend time relaxing at the water's edge before making the gradual trip back down.

This 6-mile roundtrip hike features steady elevation gain leading to the top of Wolf Creek Ski Area, where visitors can enjoy expansive views of the range. For a unique experience, plan an early departure to witness the sunrise over the mountain crests from the summit.
